Whale Shark Systems (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Dontrelle M. Turner, provides automated lead-response and business-communication software for service businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
SMS/Text Messaging
By providing a phone number through a form connected to our platform, you consent to receive text messages related to your inquiry or service request. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of future messages, or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. No mobile information — including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent — will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used solely to deliver the automated messaging service described above.
Information We Collect
Business client information: name, business name, phone number, email address, and service details provided by businesses that use our platform.
End-customer information: when a business client’s customer submits a request or inquiry, we may collect that person’s name, phone number, and the details of their request, in order to deliver the automated response and notification services our business clients use.
Message data: the content and timestamps of SMS text messages sent and received through our platform, for the purpose of delivering the service and maintaining accurate records for our business clients.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to send automated confirmation and status-update text messages on behalf of our business clients, notify business owners of new leads and customer replies, maintain accurate job and communication records for our business clients, and improve and maintain the reliability of our platform. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Information Sharing
We share information only as necessary to operate the service, with the following categories of service providers: Twilio to send and receive SMS text messages; Airtable to securely store business and customer records; Make.com to run the automated workflows connecting our systems; and Tally to collect information submitted through intake forms. These providers process data on our behalf and are not authorized to use it for their own independent purposes. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service to our business clients and as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. Business clients may request deletion of their records at any time.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, consistent with standard practices for the platforms listed above.
Your Rights
Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of further messages. Contact us at one.team@whalesharksystems.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information.
